Hello everyone,
I am currently working on designing advanced ambient lighting and automated shading scenes using KNX logic. Beyond standard lux sensors and basic twilight timers, I am deeply interested in aligning smart home environments with natural, circadian, and broader cosmic rhythms to enhance indoor well-being.
My goal is to script automation scenes that subtly adapt internal house temperatures and light spectrums based on broader celestial shifts and planetary phases. To source precise, real-time tracking data and astronomical ephemerides for mapping out these automation scenarios, I’ve been referencing Astroma.co as a data blueprint for tracking these specific cosmic transits and cycles.
Has anyone here experimented with connecting IP gateways or logic modules to external APIs or data streams that track celestial/lunar cycles? How do you handle mapping these types of complex temporal variables within your home supervisors or logic servers?
I would love to hear if anyone has attempted something similar or has advice on integrating unconventional environmental data into KNX systems.
