Hi, I have a home controlled by Scheider KNX and have a service guy who has the software and can do some basic programming for me. I dont have the software or knowledge of how to use though am fairly familiar with home control (Home Assistant) so some basic understanding.
It appears that the Electricity company created a surge when replacing an electric phase which has blown at least one of my KNX devices - Schneider MTN 649212.
My question is: Can I simply replace it with like for like which is available used on eBay (its a discontinued model) and if so will it need programming (I assume it will). The guy has quoted € 1500 which seems a lot?
Also is there no surge protector in them? and if I have to replace would it be recommended to get a different brand thats cheaper/less likely to fail on surge?
Thanks
